Penang hill, Most popular tourist attraction

Penang hill is one of the most popular tourist attractions located within the Air itam suburb, 9 km (5.6 mi) west of the center of George Town, Penang Island Malaysia. Penang Hill is also known by the Malay name Bukit Bendera. Bukit Bendera is 735 m (2,411 ft) above sea level and the area includes Tiger Hill, Flagstaff Hill, Bukit Laksamana, or Admiral Hill, Haliburton’s Hill, and Government Hill.

Penang Hill Railway:

Penang Hill Railway is The most popular way to the visit top of the hill. There are two stations the lower station that is Air Itam, and the other top station’s. Bukit Bendera railway first opened in 1923 as a two-section railway, the railway system was overhauled in 2010. The railway journey usually takes around 5 to 10 minutes only.

Getting Here: From George Town, you can go to Bukit Bendera by using public transport Rapid Penang bus Number 204. You can travel by car because there has a new multi-story car park for the visitor. Taxi also available on this route.

Penang hill opening hours:

Bukit Bendera ticket counters operation hours Start from 6.15 am to 10.00 pm. The funicular service starts at 6.30 am and the last service is at 11.00 pm from Upper Station.
